1. Cattails at MeadowView Golf Course

Cattails at MeadowView Golf Course, located just over the Tennessee line in Kingsport, offers Bermuda fairways and Bentgrass greens. This 18-hole course, which is a Denis Griffiths design, has a moderate number of sand bunkers as well as large putting greens. The front nine holes offer rolling terrain, while the back nine are wooded. The on-site golf shop offers lessons.

The men’s and women’s locker rooms each offer a lounge and steam room.

Clear Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course in Bristol that’s perfect for golfers of all skill levels. Several of the holes offer mountain views, and the club has a well-equipped pro shop. Clear Creek Golf Club, located at 732 Harleywood Road in Bristol, is an easy 20-minute drive from Abingdon.


4. Glenrochie Country Club

Who says you have to leave Abingdon to find a great course? Glenrochie Country Club, located right here in Abingdon, offers 18 holes and is known for its fast, undulating greens. This facility also offers a driving range, a practice putting green, lockers, and a full-service pro shop. Located at 200 Clubhouse Drive, Glenrochie Country Club can be reached in just 10 or 15 minutes, depending on which part of Abingdon you’re coming from.


5. Warriors’ Path Golf Course

Warriors Path Golf Course is another great option that’s located just over the Tennessee state line and well worth the drive. This 18-hole course hugs the shores of Fort Patrick Henry Lake as well as the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Warriors’ Path has a practice green, a practice bunker, and a teeing ground. Located in Kingsport at 1687 Fall Creek Road, Warriors’ Path is about a 45-minute drive from Abingdon.
